A new example of sports wagering

Thinking of buying then selling options on tickets for a future sporting event and making a profit? Think again.

A slew of editorial revisions

No mulligans here

No mulligans here

LSDBi has an EdCol today about counting team competitions in golf. Among the parameters:

• Varsity and sub-varsity teams
• How often student-athletes compete on those various teams
• How many student-athletes compete on those various teams on a given date
• Classifying and reclassifying student-athletes as varsity or sub-varsity participants on an on-going basis
• Bylaw 17 vs. Bylaw 20 scheduling issues

If you ever needed an example of overly complex NCAA rules, then this one is for you. The head spins.

We need something simpler here. But as long as we continue to count a team date of competition when one golfer competes on behalf of the institution, there might not be a simpler solution.

And guess what...the registration server crashed.

"At this time, the server is down and registration is closed.  Please check back at a later time.  Sorry for any inconvenience."

Not to be deterred, I clicked the link and registered anyway.
