Use these quizzes to help improve your coaching staff's knowledge of NCAA rules. You can take them online, or download them to your iPod.

Using quizzes on an iPod requires iQuiz (available on your iPod or via purchase for 99¢ from the iTunes Store) and a 5th generation iPod, a 3rd generation iPod nano, or iPod classic. (Which iPod do you have?) You'll need to unzip the quiz file before you install it on your iPod. Then find the iPod Games folder inside your iTunes folder. (If you’ve never purchased an iPod game from the iTunes Store, you will not have an iPod Games folder. Create one if you don’t already have one.) On Mac OS X, the iTunes ifolder is stored in /Users/username/Music or /Users/username/Documents. On Microsoft Windows, the iTunes folder is stored in \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\.

You'll have a better experience taking the quiz on-line rather than playing it on an iPod only because some of the questions are rather verbose, thanks to the nature of NCAA rules. And information about why certain answers are correct or incorrect may leak out into the question. Still, you can probably afford the 99¢ if you want to give it a try.

Here are some movies that you might find helpful for training purposes. QuickTime is required.

If you have iTunes, you have QuickTime. And if you don't have iTunes, what's up with that?

Trouble getting the stream? Our QuickTime Streaming Server sends data using User Datagram Protocol (UDP) packets. Firewalls designed to protect information on a network often block UDP packets. Client computers located behind a firewall that blocks UDP packets can’t receive streamed media.

If you have problems viewing media through a firewall or via a network that uses address translation, you should upgrade your client software to QuickTime 5 or later. If you still have problems, your network administrators can also set your firewall software to permit RTP and RTSP throughput.

Some of the items that are available for download on this page have been compressed and binhexed or zipped to speed and ease their transmission through the Internet to you. To use these items, you should pick up these two free utilities first.

StuffIt Expander from Allume Systems will both decompress and debinhex the items on this page. There's a version for Macintosh, Windows, and DOS. Files that have been binhexed have a .hqx extension. If you can't open a stuffed file from the Pac-10 web site, you probably need a more recent version of StuffIt Expander.

Adobe Reader from Adobe Systems allows you to view and print some documents that you download here. Look for the Acrobat document icon next to the item and the .pdf extension in the file name. Preview, a part of Mac OS X, also works peachy. If you can't open a .pdf file from the Pac-10 web site, you probably need Adobe Reader version 5.x or later or Preview.

QuickTime is Apple's cross-platform software for creating and viewing all types of multimedia content on your Mac and Windows computer. If you have iTunes, then you have QuickTime.
